Routine cleaning and maintenance of your Covenant Security Products will help to ensure proper operation and professional appearance. Take care when cleaning to use only approved cleaning products to ensure that no damage occurs to the finish.
Windows
FRAME
- Clean out any debris stuck in the frame.
- Scrub the frame with a wet sponge and nonabrasive soap.
- When finished, wipe dry with a soft cloth.
- Do not use: Acidic or abrasive cleaners.
GLASS
- Use a combination of water and mild dish soap.
- Rinse off soap after cleaning.
- When finished, wipe dry with a soft cloth.
- Do not use: Petroleum-based, caustic chemicals, razor blades, putty knives, abrasive pads, high-pressure water hoses.
STAINLESS STEEL
- Routine: Use soap or mild detergent and warm water.
- Fingerprints: Soap and warm water or organic solvent.
- Stains or discoloration: Mild cleaning solutions, stainless steel cleaners. Use a rag, sponge, or fibre brush.
- Lime deposits: One part vinegar to three parts water.
- Oil or grease marks: Organic solvents. Soften baked-on grease with ammonia.
- Rust & corrosion: One part nitric acid to nine parts water.
- Scratches: Stainless steel and "Scotch-brite" scouring pads.
